Elizabeth “Lib” Milam Copeland, age 98, of Presbyterian Home died Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the infirmary.
Mrs. Copeland was a member of Lisbon Presbyterian Church in Mountville, SC. She is survived by sons Charles Preston Copeland and wife Patsy W. Copeland and Edgar Jordan Copeland; daughter-in-law, Betty Bailey Copeland; brother, Grady Seawright and wife Nancy; 7 grandchildren, Ralph Bowen Copeland, George Calvin Copeland, Elizabeth Copeland Crowder (Scott), Henry Earl Pitts, Jr. (Wanda), Fred Copeland Pitts (Cecelia), Ellen Bailey Templeton (Lee), and Charles Edgar Copeland; 11 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Bowen Copeland; daughter, Joanne Copeland Pitts; son, George Lelex Copeland; brother, Preston Milam; and sisters, Mary Jim Tate and Margaret Hughes.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Lisbon Presbyterian Church in Mountville. The family will receive friends after the service. The family will be at the home of Charles P. Copeland, 5067 Lisbon Road, Mountville, SC.
