Ellis Harvey Dickert, Sr., age 83, of 600 Musgrove Street, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Newberry and was a son of the late Elbert J. and Vivian Gary Dickert.
He was a former Personnel Manager for Clinton Mills and retired as Manager of Clinton Federal Credit Union. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army in Korea.
Mr. Dickert is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Ashley Dickert; a son, Harvey Dickert, Jr., of Clinton; three daughters, Gaye Dickert of Simpsonville, Joy Dickert of Clinton, and Holly McWhorter-Dotherow and husband, Jim Dotherow, of Clinton; a brother, Angus Dickert of Lexington; a grandson, Cody McWhorter; and special son, Al Bagwell.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 24th, at 3:30 PM, at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Holly McWhorter-Dotherow located at 100 Chestnut Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
