Emily Marie Adams Austin, age 79, of 9100 Gray Willow Rd and widow of Harold Lafayette Austin passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born in Berwick, LA and was a daughter of the late Morris Warren and Henrietta Carpenter Adams.
Ms. Austin was a good wife and mother, enjoyed traveling and was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her son Dennis Austin and wife Teresa of Clinton; her daughters Martha Danley and husband Jeffrey of Charlotte, and Kathy Cantor and husband Jeffrey of Surprise, AZ; her brother Morris Adams and wife Janice of Franklin, LA; her sisters Daisy Miller of Reno, NV, Joetta Williford and husband Benny of Humble, TX, Susie Motrichek and husband John of Madisonville, LA, Molly Womack and husband Earl of Carencro, LA, Janet Ballard and husband Lloyd of Conrow, TX, and Faye Adams of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers Warren, Atlas, and Alcia Adams and her sister Lilly Mary Adams.
Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 12 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
