Ernest Wayne Barnes

Wayne Barnes, 70, of 303 Pine Street passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home.
He was born in McCormick SC and was a son of the late Ernest Barnes and Rose Wilkie Barnes.
Mr. Barnes was a residential builder in Laurens County for many years, he was the owner of The Barnes Group for seven years, and after retirement he then worked as a Catastrophe Adjuster.
He is survived by his wife Mackie Austin Barnes of the home; his son, J. Austin Barnes (Carol Anne) of Clinton; Amanda Barnes Charles (Adam) of Simpsonville; his sister, Trena Barnes of Greenville; his six grandchildren, Jon and Hamp Barnes; Lucy, Caroline, Olivia, and Lilla Charles.
The family will hold a private service at the First Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
The family will be at the home of his son, J. Austin Barnes, 107 W. Walnut Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of Laurens County, PO Box 78, Clinton, SC 29325.
