Essie Humphries Landrith

Essie Humphries Landrith, age 81, of Mountville, SC, widow of Larry R. Landrith, passed away, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at NHC of Laurens.
Born December 14, 1942, in Laurens, SC, she was a daughter of the late Denton Rush and Clara Estelle Spelts Humphries. Essie retired from the Torrington Bearing Company and Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center. She was a member of Mountville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Landrith is survived by her children, Larry D. "Tiger" Landrith (Amy) of Gray Court, Vickie Benjamin (Bob) of Clinton, Ricky D. Landrith (Cheyanne Petrus) of Greenwood, Lynn Landrith (Bunny) of Joanna, and Ken Landrith of Mountville; a sister, Tiny Sherbert of Cross Hill; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Elton Rush Humphries, Robert Humphries, Clara Ophelia Chilton Marler, Ida Tapp, Furman Humphries, and Phoebe Ann Humphries.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 2nd at 2:00 PM from the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Allie McNider officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
