Ethel Bostic Broom, age 87, passed away April 19, 2013, at her home.
Born in Whitmire, she was a daughter of James and Verda Mae Trent Bostic. She was a retired textile worker and homemaker.
Surviving are sons Frank (Jean) Broom of Camden and Jimmy (Beth) Broom and Dale Broom of Whitmire; sister Althea "Tina" (Bob) Hartzog of Hendersonville, NC; brothers Pete Bostic and Frank Bostic of Whitmire and Alfred (Brenda) Bostic of Clinton; grandchildren Emma B. (Mark) Wuertz, James G. (Tiffany) Broom, Michael Broom and Steven Broom; and great-granddaughters Sarah B. and Anna C. Wuertz. Mrs. Broom was preceded in death by sisters Nadine Steele and Lola Bell Nichols and brother Bud Bostic, all of Whitmire.
A private memorial service is planned.
