Ethelene (Sis) Gregory O’Quinn, age 72 of 1535 W. Main St., died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.
She was born in Whitmire and was a daughter of the late Dewey and Agnes Harris Gregory.
She was a former employee of Whitten Center; was a private sitter for many years and was a member of New Vision Tabernacle in Clinton.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond O’Quinn of the home, four daughters and their husbands, Carol Holder and Rick of Clinton, Caren Hamilton and Harold of Cross Hill, Jackie Bryant and Tony of Liberty and Tammi Coker and Joey of Laurens; three brothers, Robert Gregory and Russell Gregory both of Clinton, Jay Gregory of Joanna; four sisters, Mamie Robertson and Sandy Howell both of Clinton, Lois Hudson of Newberry and Marlene Fulmer of Laurens; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great- grandchildren; a son-in-law, Keith Gilliam of Newberry and a good close friend, George Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton by Rev. Bob Tate with burial in Whitmire Cemetery in Whitmire.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Tammi Coker, 970 Lakeview Dr., Laurens, SC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home in Clinton.
