Eudean Rinehart Bishop

Eudean Rinehart Bishop, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 .
She was born on April 8, 1921 to Dick and Mattie Lorick Rinehart in Batesburg, SC.
She was a graduate of Saluda High School and a member of Clydes Chapel Southern Methodist Church. After moving to Joanna in 1944 she met and married Eugene Bishop.
She was predeceased by her husband and is survived by their sons, Billy Bishop (Sandra) of Laurens, and Jamie (Elaine) Bishop of Joanna; three grandchildren and six great-grands, all of whom were the delight of her life.
She is also survived by her brother, Boddie Rinehart and his wife, Nell of Batesburg, her sister-in-law, Virginia McCarson of Clinton and many nieces and nephews. We all thank the Lord for her 95 years here.
She was known by many names, Eudean, Mama, Grandma, Grandma Dean, Mama Dean, Aunt Dean and to her children’s friends, of course, as Mrs. Bishop. In the Joanna community she was greatly loved. Her home was always open to friends and family where they are treated to her wonderful Southern cooking and to a listening ear.
Her friends were many and she will be missed.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 12th at 4 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service from 3 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
