Eugene Craven

Eugene Craven, age 90, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Presbyterian Home of Clinton.
He was born in Kinards and was a son of the late John Wesley and Winnie Oglesby Craven.
Mr. Craven was retired Post Master from the Joanna Post Office. He was the oldest member of the Joanna Masonic Lodge, a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Joanna Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Gaye Kitchens (Tommy) of Clinton; his sisters, Thelma Davenport of Kinards and June Cromer of Myrtle Beach; his granddaughters, Kristie K. Riser (Mike) and Brantlee S. Kitchens; his great-grandchildren, William and Michael Riser; and his special friend, Liz Hudgins of Columbus, NC.
He was predeceased on January 26, 2016 by his twin sister, Christine Craven Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 14th at 2 PM at the Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to The Robert R. Bell Center of the Blind, 1103 North Harper St., Laurens, SC 29360.
The family wants to thank Presbyterian Home's staff, nurses and CMA's for the loving care he received.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Gaye Kitchens, 200 Country Lane, Clinton, SC 29325.
