Eva Jo “Betty Jo” Crawford, age 82, widow of Adger T. Crawford, Jr., went to meet Jesus, Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
She was born in Union and was a daughter of the late Barth F. and Pearl Wright Vanderford.
Mrs. Crawford retired from Clinton Mills, Lydia Mills Plant, and was a member of the Community Baptist Church. She was proud to say she was a Marble Champion and member of the Cavalier Softball Team. Her hobbies were cooking, cleaning, and rambling the road.
She is survived by her children, Regina McFerrin (Todd) and Anthony “Pete” Crawford (Julie) both of Clinton; her grandchildren, Andy Gregory (Barbara), Rudy Hamrick, LaShun Woods (Mark), Kasey Wilson (Brad), Jessica Crawford, Ridge Crawford, Austin McFerrin, Chad McFerrin, and Amanda McFerrin Burton; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her daughters at heart, Nan Fugate, Melody Trammell, Cathy Lowery, Rita Noble, and Ginger Chalk; her son at heart, Ronnie Gregory; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Donald and Rev. JB Vanderford, a granddaughter, Taylor Crawford.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 3 PM at the Community Baptist Church by Rev. Chris Sullivan and Rev. Jeff O’Dell, with burial to be at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The body will be taken to her home, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, 1081 Charlottes Road, Clinton, SC 29325, where the family will receive friends until Thursday before going to the church for the service.
