Evelyn Lee Lipford

Evelyn Lee Lipford, age 88, of 301 N. Main St., widow of George Alex Lipford, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the White Oak Manor in Newberry.
She was born in Whitmire and was a daughter of the late Butler and Susie McGathey Lee . She worked at Conso in Union and was retired from J. P. Stevens Co.
Surviving are one son, Robert Earl Lipford (Pat) of Whitmire, two daughters, Linda Keller of the home in Whitmire and Sue Lipford of Union; one sister, Frances Bostic of Newberry, four grandchildren , Craig Erskine, Robie Gregory, Dennis Sailors and Barry Gilliam and five great grandchildren, Trey Sailors, Cassie Sailors, Brooke Erskine, Michael Erskine and Bridgett Nix.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Jan. 11th at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church by Rev. Shannon Long with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home of Whitmire.
