Evelyn Atkins Robertson, age 93, of 2809 Highway 66, Whitmire, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Robertson was born in Sumter County, a daughter of the late Burl Albert and Kate Johnson Atkins.
She was retired from the J.P. Stevens Company, Whitmire Plant and was a member of Heritage Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Mary Cromer of Whitmire and Margie Brown and husband Ken, and daughter-in law Geraldine Robertson, of Duncan, S.C., four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a faithful friend, Inez Culbreth.
Mrs. Robertson is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sidney Robertson, a son, Gilbert Robertson, two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Whitmire. Burial will follow in the Whitmire cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
