Fern L. Eighmey Ledyard

Fern L. Eighmey Ledyard, age 88, widow of Glenn Ledyard, Sr. passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the National Healthcare of Clinton.
She was born in Samaria, Michigan and was a daughter of the late Harold and Flossie Pickard Eighmey.
Mrs. Ledyard was a faithful member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Samaria and attended the St. James United Methodist Church in Laurens. She was a former newspaper carrier for the Monroe Evening News, an enjoyed bingo and bowling. Mrs. Ledyard will be remembered as a daughter, as a sister, as a mother, as a grandmother and a very good friend.
Surviving are a son, Arthur Ledyard of Toledo; two daughters, Letha Gascay of Clearwater, FL, Barbara Tuttle of Laurens; one sister, Letha Mills of Temperance, MI, one half brother, Harold Eighmey, Jr. and one half sister, Joanne Eisenman both of Temperance, MI; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Glenn Ledyard, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5th at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, Samaria, MI with burial in the Erie Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Urbanski Funeral Home, Bedford Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the St. James United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 101 Richards St., Laurens, SC 29360 or the Grace United Methodist Church, 1463 W. Samaria Rd., Samaria, MI 48177.
