Florence Adair Cooper, born April 19, 1916, and widow of Thomas B. Cooper died Monday, March 17, 2008 in the NHC of Clinton.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Clinton and was the daughter of the late William Taylor and Pearl Nabors Adair.
She was a graduate of Clinton High School where she was the valedictorian and was a bookkeeper at Jacobs Brothers Press and at Presbyterian College.
She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and was very active in the W.M.U. and was a former Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are step-sons, Thomas B. Cooper, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Jackie K. Cooper of Perry, GA; five step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren; and a number of devoted nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Grady Adair and a sister, Sue Adair Oxley.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with interment in the Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
