Florence Caldwell Smith

Florence Caldwell Smith , age 84 of 87 Hill Creek Rd. and widow of James Clifton Smith, died Tuesday, Feb. 28th in the Spartanburg Regional Hospital.
She was born in Spartanburg County and was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Leila Puritt Caldwell.
She was retired from J. P. Stevens of Whitmire after 45 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Larry Smith of Whitmire; two daughters, Penny Martin of Union and Judy Stroud of Spartanburg, nine grandchildren and twelve great -grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home in Whitmire.
