Frances Donnan Brown

Frances Donnan Brown, 96, of 1035 Hopewell Church Rd., widow of Stewart O. Brown, Sr. died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Hospice of Laurens County.
She was born in Laurens, SC and was a daughter of the late James Mason and Athea Floy Templeton Donnan.
Mrs. Brown attended Laurens High School and retired as the Office Manager of Laurens Electric Cooperative, Joanna Branch. She was a member of the Women in Rural Electric (WIRE), the Wadsworth Community Club, Hopewell United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are three children, Patricia B. Payne of Lexington, Stewart O. (Susan) Brown, Jr. of Clinton and David S. (Joyce) Brown of Greenwood; grandchildren, Dale (Robert) Maxwell, Joe W. Payne III, Ashley Redman, Michael Brown, Amanda Brown, Alexander D. Brown, Gregory S. (Leah) Brown; eight great grandchildren, Christopher, Chase, and Reid Maxwell, Jenna and Baylee Redman, Ashley James, Jackson Brown and Reagan Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James M. Donnan, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 12th at 3:00 p.m. in the Hopewell United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
