Francis (Buck) Broome

Francis “Buck” Broome age 76, of 1391 Lake Rd. died Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late Chalmers and Jessie Mae Conyers Broome.
Mr. Broome was retired from Piedmont Pad and Southern Felt. He was a veteran of the SC National Guard and attended Masters Baptist Church in Whitmire.
Surviving are his wife Kathleen Prince Broome of the home; two sons, Robert and James Broome both of Joanna; one daughter, Savannah Beddingfield of Zirconia, NC; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Broome of Kinards and Michael Broome of Joanna; four sisters, Norma Bostic of Whitmire, Dorothy Senn of Joanna, Brenda O’Shields of Whitmire, Patsy Brooks of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Chad Broome, Shane Broome, Michael Lewis, Lacey Broome, Wyatt Beddingfield, Morgan Beddingfield, Rayland Beddingfield; great grandchildren, Amy Broome, Chandler Broome, Sierra Lewis, Skylar Lewis; great-great grandchild, Kourtni Broome and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 5th at Whitmire Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home, 1391 Lake Road, Clinton, SC 29325.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Masters Baptist Church Building Fund, Whitmire, SC 29178.
