Frankie B Dagnall Davis, age 88, formerly of 52 Sunset Blvd, Clinton, SC and widow of Epps Brown Davis, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born on January 8, 1926 in Laurens, SC, the daughter of the late John and Ruby Whitten Dagnall.
She was a member of First Baptist Church – Clinton, Eastern Star James B. Parrot #9, and a member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW 3354. She retired after 33 years of service in the Finance office of Whitten Center. Later she worked 15 years as one of the first Walmart greeters in Laurens.
She is survived by her daughters Cathie Turner Harrelson and Pat Rice (Gerald) of Clinton; a sister, Virginia Laws of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Ashley Martin (Berry) of Clinton, Davis Rice (Allison) of Greenwood, and Allix Turner (Jacki) of Lexington; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson, Logan and Zealy Martin of Clinton, and Kameron and Kennedy Turner of Lexington.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother Bill Dagnall; five sisters, Nell Antley, Florence Graydon, Lucia Hinson, Carrie McDaniel and Mary Sue Walker.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Clinton, conducted by Rev. Dr. Blake Harwell, with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at the home of Gerald and Pat Rice, 301 Sumter Street Ext. and will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
