Franklin A. (F A) Duncan, a long time resident of Clinton, SC, passed February 27, 2007 at Auburn Regional Medical Center in Auburn, Washington.
He was born in Madison County, Georgia, July 22, 1923, he was the son of Clarence Wade Duncan and Eva Lee Brooks Duncan. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel McKenzie Duncan of Auburn, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Duncan Bankhead and Richard B. Bankhead, Jr. of Lake Tapps, WA; two grandsons, Richard B. Bankhead III of Auburn, WA and Christopher Duncan Bankhead who is presently serving in Iraq. He is also survived by a sister, Ada Bell Mitchell of Greenwood and many nieces and nephews.
He was a charter member of Davidson Street Baptist Church and was a World War II veteran. After retiring from Greenwood Mills, he spent many happy days in his woodwork shop building swings, clocks, and furniture.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. J. D. Shiflet and Rev. Kenny Moore with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
