Furman C. Cantrell

Furman C. Cantrell, age 97, widower of Betty Jo Sherfield Cantrell, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the VIA Health Partners Hospice House in Clinton.
He was born March 17, 1927, in Chesnee, SC and was a son of the late Fred E. Cantrell and Annie Wiley Cantrell. He was retired from Presbyterian College and enjoyed keeping a garden in his free time.
Mr. Cantrell is survived by his son, Ronnie Allen Cantrell; his grandchildren, Ronnie Allen Cantrell, Jr., Alex James Cantrell, Andrew Bryant Cantrell, Kielee Lauren Cantrell, Kylee Shyanne Cantrell, Carson Blaine Cantrell, and Bella Jo Cantrell; and his great-grandchildren, Blake Cantrell, Ronnie Cantrell III, and Layne Cantrell.
In addition to his wife and his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Oiser Cantrell, Buddy Cantrell, and Rachel C. Revis.
A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 3 PM at the Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Monty Osborne officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at graveside.
