George N. Love, Jr. M.D., AMA, ASA, died August 7th in his sleep at Martha Franks Retirement Home in Laurens, South Carolina. He was born in Worthington, Indiana on February 28, 1914. He graduated High School in Worthington; attended Indiana University for both undergraduate and M. D. degrees; served as family physician in Connersville, Indiana; served in the medical corps as Major during the second world war and as one of the first board certified anesthesiologist, when that specialty started.
He married Mary Louise Simms and fathered William Stanley, George Newton and Thomas Edward Love. He is survived by his youngest brother, Charles, his three sons and six grandchildren.
He is to have a memorial service at Martha Franks Chapel in Laurens and to be interred beside his wife of 54 years in Indianapolis.
