Gerald "Vern" William Gossett Sr.

Gerald “Vern” William Gossett, Sr., age 73, of 137 Frandeena’s Court, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Newberry, SC and was the son of the late Melvin and Ruby Silvers Gossett.
Mr. Gossett retired from Georgia Pacific and served 22 years in the South Carolina National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Gossett of the home; his sons, Shannon William Gossett, Sr. (Brenda) of Whitmire and Gerald William Gossett, Jr. of Columbia; his daughters, Sandy Price (Donald) of Clinton and Stephanie Hollis (Curtis) of West Columbia; a step-son, Michael Tucker (Heather) of Laurens; a step-daughter, Susan Kelly (Raymond) of Mountville; a brother, Ronnie Allen of Chester; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 3 to 5 PM at the Gray Funeral Home in Whitmire.
