Gillie Gambrell Brotherton, age 64 of 1146 Reid Ave., died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Whitmire and was a daughter of Sadie Gambrell Gilliam of Whitmire and the late Paul Wesley Gambrell.
She was a seamstress in Whitmire and a member of God’s Healing Springs Baptist Church in Union County.
Surviving are her husband, David R. Brotherton of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael S. and Marie Brotherton of Whitmire and David P. and Ann Brotherton of Newberry; two brothers, Thomas Wesley Gambrell of Silverstreet and William Earl Gambrell of Clinton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in God’s Healing Springs Baptist Church with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday evening at Gray Funeral Home.
