Gladys Kay Johnson age 87, of 503 Pickens Street and widow of Walter B. Johnson passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at NHC of Clinton.
She was born in Charlotte, NC raised in Clinton, SC. and was a daughter of the late Roscoe Kay and Junie Heaton Kay Malone.
Mrs. Johnson was retired from Greenwood Mills and enjoyed being a Foster Grandparent at Joanna Woodson Elementary. She was a member of Bush River Baptist Church and attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Clinton, and was also a Blue Lady at PC for several years.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Kitchen and husband Donnie of Joanna; a special niece Karen Craig of Joanna; eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a sister, Dorothy Bunch; and a brother, Eddie Malone.
Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by two sons, James Johnson and Harold Johnson; a grandson, Harold Johnson, Jr.; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday August 25th at 4 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
