Gladys Hanks Barnes

Gladys Hanks Barnes, age 75, of 293 Waynes Trail, died Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Anderson and was the daughter of the late John F. Hanks, Sr. and Nellie Jamison Hanks.
Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker and a member of Bellview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis F. Barnes of the home; one son, Michael Barnes of Laurens; one daughter, Deborah Barnes of Laurens; two brothers, James Hanks and Richard Hanks of Laurens; three sisters, Mary Edge of Laurens, Nancy Beal of Ninety-Six, Zenobia McMakin of Cross Hill; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnes was predeceased by two sons, Barry Lynn Barnes and Gary Allen Barnes.
Funeral services will be held at Bellview Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 17th at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is serving the family.
