Gordon Lyle Meier

Gordon L. Meier, age 70, of 307 E. Florida St. died Monday, June 29, 2009 in the Providence Hospital in Columbia.
He was born in Greenfield, MA and was the son of the late Julius C. and Mildred Moore Meier.
Mr. Meier was a patriot, served his country and enjoyed learning and sharing his knowledge with others. He is known for his smile and sincere appreciation for any who met him. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and member of the Early Stages Alzheimer’s Groups in Greenville and Pendleton.
Mr. Meier was predeceased by his wife, the Rev. Ann Meier.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Melville Harriss of Clemson and two nephews, David Harriss and Matthew Harriss.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
