Grace Tumblin Smith

Grace Smith, 101, passed away peacefully at NHC, Clinton on November 28, 2018. She had been a resident of Greenwood, SC since 1999. Previously, Grace and her husband lived for 50 years in New Iberia, Louisiana.
She was the daughter of Harley and Ethel Tumblin of Laurens. She was predeceased by her husband, of 52 years, Henry C. Smith in 2000.
After graduating from Laurens High School in 1936, Grace entered Greenville School of Nursing. After completing her R.N. degree Grace served as a nurse for 50 years. A profession she loved.
Grace was a member of the Episcopal Church of Resurrection in Greenwood. For over 40 years, she was a devoted member of Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
A memorial service will be held on January 20, 2018 at Greenwood Episcopal Church of the Resurrection at 2:00 PM.
