Grover Cleveland (Junior) Wilson Jr., age 68, of 403 N. Marion Street, died Friday, April 5, 2013 in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Mountville, SC, and was a son of the late G.C. Wilson and Alpha Cothran Wilson, the 14th child and the 7th son.
Mr. Wilson was retired from the S.C. Department of Corrections , a former employee of Wilson’s Curb Market, was a member of Clinton First P.H. Church, and was a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, of forty-four years, Flo Emery Wilson, of the home; a son, Michael Floyd Wilson, of Laurens; two daughters, Star Wilson Santos, of Laurens, and Julie Lynn Wilson, of Page, AZ; three grandsons, Alexander and Benjamin Santos, and Buster Wilson, all of Laurens; two step-grandsons, Logan and Rick (Shanna) Jones, of Clinton; a brother, Sammy Wilson (Toni) of Vero Beach, FL; sisters, Dot (Joe) Medlin, of Clinton, Vera Blackwell, of Clinton, Beatrice Harris, of Clinton, Carolyn Cook, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC Gerry Johnson, of Greenwood, and Barbara Martin, of Ponte Verda, FL; special nieces, Melrose Emery, of Clinton, and Letha Boswell (Joe), of Murrells Inlet; special family friends, Kay Tinsley, of Clinton, Ann Pinson, of Laurens, and Nan Fugate, of Murrells Inlet.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Baby Paul, James, Walt, Johnny, and Roy Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 7th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
