“Hank” Wilson Cleland, age 94 passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the National HealthCare of Clinton.
He was born in Newberry SC and was a son of the late Charles S. and Fannie Mae Reighley Cleland.
Mr. Cleland retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company with 40 years of service. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, Campbell Masonic Lodge #44, Telephone Pioneers of America, Clinton Exchange Club and American Legion Post 56.
He is survived by his son, Eddie Cleland (Dana) of Simpsonville; a daughter, Debra Barnes (Tink) of Clinton; a brother, Joe Cleland of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Mary Neal Cleland and a brother, Charles Cleland.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 6th, at 3:00 P.M. at Broad Street United Methodist Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Debra Barnes, 107 Cross Creek Rd., Clinton, SC 29325.
