Harleigh J. Mangum

Harleigh J. Mangum, age 87, of 600 Chestnut Street, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Laurinburg, NC and was a son of the late Harleigh J. and Pauline Maxwell Mangum.
Mr. Mangum was a retired Vice-President of Standard Plywoods, Inc.; a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton; a former member of the Clinton Kiwanis Club and the Golden “K” Club; the American Legion and was a US Navy Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Bullock Mangum of the home; one daughter, Jean Mangum Johnson of Clinton, one son, David Harleigh Mangum of Simpsonville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, March 5th at 1:30 p.m. in Rosemont Cemetery followed by a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Clinton at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
