Harley B. Ford, Sr. age 72 of 124 Garlington St. died Tuesday, Jan. 3rd in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Del Rio, TN and was a son to the late Ernest Ford and Mattie P. Leopard.
Mr. Ford was a retired salesman with Life of Virginia Insurance Company, a member of the Laurens Church of God and a Army veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Division.
Surviving are one son, Harley Ford, Jr. of Laurens; three daughters, Wanda Leonda F. Allen of Laurens, Patsy Greene of Woodruff, Martha Chandler of Laurens; three brothers, E. B. Ford of Mauldin, Henry Ford of Charlotte, NC, Bernard Ford of Laurens; one sister, Ethel Decker of Cosby, TN; six grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Levi Ford, Isaac Ford, Zachery Chandler, Dana Wilkie, Tiffany Criss, Ethan Sapp and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth P. Ford and a brother, Isaac Ford.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January, 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the Laurens Church of God with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Six of his guitar picking friends will be his pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his son, Harley Ford, Jr., 150 Ranch Rd. Laurens.
