Harold Eugene Larson

Harold Eugene Larson, 97, of Newberry, SC, widower of Patricia Ann Larson, passed away, Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Presbyterian Communities of SC - Clinton.
Born February 20, 1926 in Sioux Falls, SD, he was a son of the late Paul Seth and Etta Josephine Walker Larson. Harold was a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. A Veteran of the US Army Air Force, he attained the ranking of Corporal, while serving as a Cryptographic Technician in the 132nd Army Airways Communication System. Mr. Larson was already working for Honeywell in Minneapolis, MN., when in 1957 they transferred the family to Florida. He continued his career with Honeywell in the Aerospace Division as an electrical engineer, retiring in 1988 after after 33 years of service. In 2014 he made the move to South Carolina with his daughter and son-in-law. Mr. Larson enjoyed attending Fairview Baptist Church in Kinards.
Surviving are his son, Eric Larson; his daughter and son-in-law, Lori Dunlap (Kevin); his daughter-in-law, Rose Larson; his brother, Les Larson; his sister, Kathy Amundson; his grandchildren, Summer Lynn (Damien), Mandy Jo (Brandon), Seth (Monica), Kelly (Tom), Kasey, Travis (Savannah), Candice (Allen), and Brittney (Kevin); and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife of 57 years, he was preceded in death by a son, Kris Larson; a brother, Robert Larson, and daughter-in-law, Vera Lynn Larson.
A Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2023 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Cox officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 4419 Indian Creek Road, Kinards, SC 29355.
