Harold D. Wilson, 95, of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens, S.C. formerly from Spartanburg, S.C. died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Martha Franks. Born in Jackson County, Georgia, he was the son of John Samuel and Mae Pearl Wilson. He was predesceased by a sister Overton Stepp and two brothers, Richard and Robert Wilson. He retired from Meyers Arnold Department Store. He was a member of Boiling Springs First
Baptist Church. He was a mason, member of Spartan Lodge No. 70 and a Shriner. He is survived by his loving wife, Thelma P. Wilson and two daughters. Sandy and her husband Jim Green from Mission Viejo, California and Becky Wilson from Columbia, S.C. ; two grand children, Scott Green and wife Lisa from Island Lake, Illinois and Kelly Smith and her husband Carey of Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Also surviving four great grand children, Austin, Lauren and Ethan Smith and Savannah Green.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 10:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, S.C. The service will be conducted by Rev. Michael Hensley and Dr. Russell Dean. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Harold Wilson will be held the same day at Rasor Chapel Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens, SC at 3:00 pm..
