Helen B. Samples

Helen B. Samples, age 87 formerly of 308 Helen Street and widow of Jonas B. Samples, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 at NHC of Clinton.
She was born in Newberry County, SC and was the daughter of the late Chesley Monroe and Ada Bell James Giles.
Mrs. Samples was a member of Light House Tabernacle.
She is survived by a son, Merle C. Samples of Clinton; four sisters, Martha Plumbley of Greer, Ruby Watson of Woodruff, Shirley Middlebrook of Fountain Inn and Carolyn Harper of Enoree; and six grandchildren, Robin Samples, Steve Barrett, Chad Samples, Brad Samples, Joey Barrett and Kendra Samples; and six great-grandchildren, Logan Samples, Riley Samples, Emily Samples, Kolby Samples, Tyrstan Samples and Justin Samples.
She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Richard Samples; a daughter, Deborah Gail Harmon; her siblings, Charles Giles of Orangeburg, Elberton Giles of Woodruff, Betty Whitman of Woodruff, Rev. Dr. Olin Giles of Rock Hill, Marion Leon Giles of Enoree and Jerry Giles of Spartanburg.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, May 7, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
