Helen "Granny" Crisp

Helen “Granny” Crisp, age 81, of 115 Prather St. and widow of Thomas Jackson “Jack” Crisp, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Spartanburg.
She was born in Norfolk, VA and was a daughter of the late James Ristine and Pearl Mae Rutherford Cass.
Surviving are one son, Thomas Crisp of Whitmire; two daughters, Owantha Barfield of Spartanburg and Dorothy Pautz of Kingston Springs, TN; two sisters, Monica Bemb of Williamsburg, NY and Virginia Cass of Norfolk, VA, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Oscar Crisp, a brother, Jimmy Cass; two sisters, Lucille Schwitzer and Owantha Dawson.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Max Benshoff.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturday before the service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
