Helen R. Godfrey

Helen R. Godfrey, age 88 of 52 Scout Hut Rd. died Tuesday, November 10th, at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Whitmire, SC and was a daughter of the late William Monroe and Mattie Lillian Shockley Rochester.
Mrs. Godfrey retired from K-mart and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Juanita Sanders and Joyce Finley both of Clinton; one sister, Mary Lou Rochester of Clinton; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Haskell Godfrey, one son, William Rhett Godfrey, and one sister, Ruby Marchbanks.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Nov. 13th at 1:00 pm in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Sherrill Green with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Laurens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
