Henry T. Johnson Jr.

Henry T. Johnson Jr., age 86, of 130 Little Egypt Road passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Whitmire and was the son of the late Henry Sr. and Cora Craft Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Central Ave Baptist Church, retired supervisor with Clinton Mills and a United States Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Delois J. Johnson of the home; his sons, Joey (Wanda) Johnson and Kevin Johnson; his daughters, Connie (Mark) Hawkins, Rhonda Sherfield, Connie (Leonard) Goldman and Lois Anne Johnson; eleven grandchildren, Allen (Summer) Reid, Briana (Eric) Eargle, Grant Hawkins, Will Sherfield, Ryleigh Sherfield, Robbie Cooper, Jonnie Hoffman, Zachary Whittle, Raheem Jennings, Libby Walker and Drew Johnson and five great-grandchildren, Téa, Jax and Talmadge Reid, Adeline Eargle.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Claude, James and Olin D. Johnson; his sisters, Lucy, Lenora, Helen, Ruth, Florence, Eletha and Polly; and great grandchild Samuel Eargle.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire with interment at the Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial be made to Alzheimer’s Association S.C. Chapter, 4124 Clemson Avenue Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
