Henry Burrell "Burl" Patterson

Henry Burrell "Burl" Patterson, 82, husband of Margie Campbell Patterson, of Clinton, SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
He was born in Clinton, SC to the late Floyd and Early Gertha Spencer Patterson.
Burl loved his family and cherished Sunday dinners. He was an avid fisherman who loved to hunt, cook, bowl and play softball. At home, he loved raising, gathering and shelling his pecans as well as growing a huge garden every year. He worked for Asten Press Fabrics for 23 years and retired from Presbyterian College in 2002.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by his children Sonja Patterson Tucker
(Michael) of Laurens, Sterling Durrell Patterson (Kelly) of Mountville; grandchildren, Stephanie Patterson Babb (Blake) of Gray Court, Parker Benjamin Tucker of Escondido, CA, and Spencer Coleman Patterson of Mountville; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Wayne Babb & Harrison Harden Babb of Gray Court.
Burl was preceded in death by a son, Steven Burrell Patterson, and his siblings, Ruth Patterson Howell, Jimmy Patterson, William Patterson, Charles Patterson and Eunice Eubanks.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 for family and friends at Pinelawn Memory Gardens in Clinton, SC.
The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Laurens County for taking such wonderful care of Burl during his final days especially Dr. Patsy Sadler, Traci, Selena, Elissa and Doris.
Pallbearers will be Sterling Patterson, Cole Patterson, Blake Babb, Tim Faulkner, Dustin Faulkner, and Sonny Patterson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O. Box 178, Clinton, SC, 29325.
