Henryetta Young "Cissy" Davis

Henryetta Young (Cissie) Davis, age 88, widow of Watts Davis, a resident of the Presbyterian Hone, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5th at the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Clinton and was a daughter of the late John T. Young and Inez Motz McCraw Young.
Mrs. Davis retired as Secretary of the Admissions Office of Presbyterian College and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are by two sons, Tom (Sanna Kay) Davis and Dixie (Jean) Davis; a daughter, Lee (Danny) Mercer; a sister, Joy (Cally) Gault; six grandchildren, Robert Mercer, Nickels (Cheryl) Mercer, Mike Davis, Brian (Melissa) Davis, Thomas (Jordan) Davis, and Taylor (Tift) Mitchell; nine great-grandchildren, Callie Ann Mercer, John Adam Mercer, Michaela Davis, Michal Marie Davis, Lauren D. (Gary) Cagle, Dylan Davis, Audrey Davis, Bayon Davis, and Wren Mitchell.
She was predeceased by a sister, Inez Ledford.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton by Rev. Dr. Joe Brooks and Rev. Tandy Taylor.
There will be a reception following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the home of Tom and Sanna Kay Davis at 3064 Hwy. 72 West, Clinton, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
