Henry L. Starnes

Henry L. Starnes, age 71, of 648 Milam Road died Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Spartanburg and was the son of the late Luther and Pearl Miller Starnes Wyatt and step-father, Tom Wyatt.
Mr. Starnes was a retired textile employee.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Talley Starnes of the home; a grandson of the home, William P. Lynch, Jr.; three sons, Lewis Starnes of Cross Hill, Larry Starnes of Florida and William P. Lynch (Mary Beth) of Clinton; a daughter, Deborah Tierney of Old Town, FL; brother, William Martin Starnes (Mildred) of Mountville; sisters, Ellie Mae Woody (Robert) of Hickory Tavern, Martha Davenport (Richard) of Laurens, Shirley Brubaker (Glenn) of Cross Hill, Pauline Phillips (Ray) of Laurens and Sarah Dickson (Michael) of Clinton.; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Luther Starnes.
A memorial service will be held at the Lydia Church of God, Saturday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. James Petty, Rev. Dan Compton and Mr. Richard Davenport, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends and flowers at their home.
