Herbert Owens, age 95, of 28713 Hwy 76 East, and widower of Doris W. Owens, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Pauline and was the son of the late Victor Owens and Maggie Mitchell Barrett.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Stanley Owens (Kim) of Greenwood, Rev. Dr. R. Shane Owens (Susan) of Lancaster, David Owens, Jr., (Patsy) of Laurens and Tony Owens of Greenville; his daughters, Tami Owens of the home and Robin O. Dowell of Clinton; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, Leila Lott.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1st from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 3 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel.
A Sunrise Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 6 AM at Rosemont Cemetery.
