Hermie Lyn Wood

Hermie Lyn Wood, age 70, went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 30, 1953 in Newberry, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late William Edward and Carrie Faye Kinard Wood. She enjoyed her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse as well as a cosmetologist. Lyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton.
Miss Wood is survived by her son, David (Dave) Edward Wood; two sisters, Mary Katherine Marshall of Joanna and Gail Senn of Clinton; her granddaughter, McKenzie Wood; her uncle, Nelson Kinard (Joan) of Woodruff; her aunt, Pearl Swygert of Joanna; her nieces, Cassie Marshall Wiseman (Brian) and Beth Smith; her nephews, Eddie Marshall (Lucy), David Smith, Jr.; her great-nieces, Claire and Kate Marshall and Destinee Powers; her great-nephews, William and Tyler Watts and Christopher Smith.
In addition to her parents, Lyn was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Ann Cromer.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 14th, 2024 in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of Clinton. A private burial will follow the service at Newberry Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mary Marshall, 525 Browning Ave, Joanna, SC 29351 to assist the family with expenses.
