Dateline-Joanna, SC
H. Lamar Bundrick, age 86 formerly of Chappells Hwy., died Monday, December 20, 2010 in the Self Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Little Mountain and was the son of the late Silas O’Neal and Leola Kinard Bundrick.
Mr. Bundrick was retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of First Baptist Church of Joanna and held numerous positions in the church.
He is survived by three daughters, June Kenan (Richard) of Chapin, Carolyn Powell (Bob) of Easley, and Anne Turner (Stan) of Greenwood; three sisters, Gladys Hazel (Clarence) of Newberry, Sadie Epting (James B.) of Newberry; and Nell Lindsey (David) of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Dixon Brooks, Jr. and wife, Mary of Lexington; Brandon Turner and wife, Katie of New Orleans; Bobby Powell of Easley and Leslie Turner of Greenwood; two great grandchildren, Spencer and Paxton Brooks.
Mr. Bundrick was predeceased by his wife, Martha Bishop Bundrick,who died on November 30, 2010; a sister, Mary Frances Bowers and two brothers, Clarence Bundrick and Richard Bundrick.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Joanna with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church before the service.
