Hubbard F. Reeder, age 76 of 104 Crescent Dr. died Tuesday, Feb. 6th in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Delhi, LA and was a son of the late Frank Ervin and Bessie Giles Reeder and his step mother, Lucille Reeder.
Mr. Reeder was retired from the United States Navy having served in the Korean War and two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Riverboat Captain. He received two Purple Hearts and three Bronze Stars with “V” Device. Following his Navy career Mr. Reeder worked and retired from the Security Department at Presbyterian College and then worked as a security officer at Laurens School District 55.
Surviving are four sons, Ray Reeder, Eddie Reeder and wife, Marie, John Reeder and wife, Karen, Franklin Ray Reeder; one daughter, Sandra Reeder; one brother, Eugene Reeder and wife Nancy; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janet M. Reeder and a son, Michael Hubbard Reeder.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
