Hubert Dewayne Goins

Hubert Dewayne Goins, age 76, of Whitmire, widower of Jackie Goins, passed away, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Union Medical Center.
Born July 6, 1948 in Kingsport, TN, he was a son of the late Arthur Childress and Jessie Ann McGee Goins. Dewayne served as Pastor of Central Avenue Baptist Church, worked at Metal Masters and was also a self-employed contractor.
Surviving are his children, Jessica Goins Feagin, Renee Goins of Union, and Lori Shaw of Whitmire, and Tim Goins of Enoree; his grandchildren, Devan Goins, Dustin Hueble, Timothy Hueble, Dixie Couch, Brittney Couch and Timothy Cook, Jr.; his seven great grandchildren; his brother, Randy Goins of Cross Keys; and his sister, Debra McCall of Whitmire.
In addition to his parents and his wife of 56 years, he was preceded in death by a sister, June Garland.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Central Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the church.
