Hugh “Doug” Gray, II, age 58, of 1126 Deer Valley Rd. died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Laurens and was the son of the late John Sewall and Madeline Cole Gray.
Mr. Gray was a Senior Production Manager at the Milliken Mills, Gilliland Plant and served on the Board of Directors of the American-International Charolais Association, S.C. area 15 and was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Harvey Gray of the home; a son, John Douglas Gray of Laurens: a daughter, Libby G. Barksdale and husband, Roger of Simpsonville; a granddaughter, Destiny Barksdale; two sisters, Susie Abercrombie and husband, Bobby of Hickory, NC and Dottie Noce and husband, Pete of Salem, VA; a brother-in-law, Buddy Lynch of Laurens and a special niece, Carole Knight of Laurens.
He was predeceased by a two sisters, Ruth Lynch and Marie Sorenson.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Westview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
