Hugh Mitchell Farmer age 68 of 114 Pine Avenue died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his home.
He was born in Newberry, SC and was a son of the late John Edward and Essie Butler Farmer.
Mr. Farmer was a long haul truck driver for over 30 years. He retired from Wal-Mart Distribution.
He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy F. Farmer; children, Lloyd Farmer and wife, Lisa, Dianna F. Stafford and husband, Gene, and Debra Stevenson and husband, Scott, all of Tampa, Florida; a brother, John Wesley Farmer of Newberry; four sisters, Annie Sue Crumpton and husband, Walter, of West Columbia, Mavis Livingston of Prosperity, Marvoureen Morris and husband, James O. of Newberry, and Sheila Harmon and husband, Jimmy, of Newberry.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday before the service from 11:00 to 12:30 at the church.
