Imogene "Jean" Lollis Griswold

Jean Lollis Griswold of Inman, SC, passed into eternity on December 29, 2017. She was 69 years old.
She grew up in Laurens, SC, with her mother Mildred Arrowood, two sisters — her twin Maxine Arrowood Stribling, Shirley Arrowood Stadalsky and one brother Ronnie Arrowood.
Her family had a hard life in the projects. Despite that, Jean always found ways to shine light and love to others making them feel extra special. She could be feisty and funny — holding her sense of humor until the very end.
She loved camping, cooking, fishing and working out in the yard. She could see beauty in all things, especially her flowers and birds. Most of all, she loved her family. She is survived by her husband, Harvey, who was the love of her life, her two girls Kimberly Lollis Parrish and Stefanie Lollis Tillman — their husbands — whom she called her “sons” Lee Parrish and Sean Patrick Tillman. Her son Kenny Griswold and his wife Donnette — who was like a daughter. Jean had three beautiful granddaughters and two fine grandsons — Nikki and Tanner Williams, Kyndall and Amanda Griswold and Peter Tillman. She loved her great grandsons — Aidan and Carter Williams. She delighted in giving Aidan a special treat every time he visited. Jean had two special nieces, Tracy Nelson Schock and Kristy Stadalsky Milano along with an extra special nephew Scott Stadalsky. She also had a sweet sister in law Becky Arrowood and two special brother in laws Stanley Stribling and John Stadalsky, along with many other extended family members who are too many to name.
Jean was a faithful believer that God was in control of all things and she knew that death was only the beginning. She crossed over in peace more than ready for the journey home.
Jean would say that she loved us more than we would ever know. We will miss her more than she could ever know.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lake Cooley Baptist Church on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 3 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2 to 3 PM. The church is located at, Lake Cooley Baptist Church, 2589 Ballenger Road, Wellford, SC, 29385.
