Imogene Hulda "Jean" Stroud

Imogene Hulda “Jean” Stroud, age 93, of Waterloo, SC, widow of Howard E. Stroud, passed away, Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Hospice of Laurens County.

Born August 9, 1931 in Clinton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Emily Gertrude Williams Holley. Imogene was a graduate of Clinton High School and retired from Clinton Mills. She found joy in selling Home Interiors and loved cooking for her family. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Laurens.

Imogene is survived by her son, Chris Stroud (Leann) of Pelion, SC; her five grandchildren; and her nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Imogene was preceded in death by her siblings, James Lee Holley and Eunice Hammond. 

The family would like to give special thanks to the Staff at VIA Health Partners for the loving care shown to Jean during her illness. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with Rev. J.D. Shiflet and Rev. Jeff Shiflet officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

 The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.

 Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Stroud family with services.
