Inez McDonald Neal, age 89, died peacefully on September 24, 2014 at NHC Healthcare of Clinton.
She was born on April 17, 1925 in Easley, the daughter of the late William Alfred McDonald and Dova M. Broome.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, William Carson Neal.
Ms. Neal was a longtime associate of Belk’s, Greenville, in the ladies shoe department. With failing health, she moved to Bailey Manor, Clinton, in November 2009.
She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Neal Brasington and William “Bil” A. Brasington of Houston, Texas; her grandson William “Bert” A. Brasington, Jr., and Aimee Gunn of Sugar Land, Texas; her granddaughter Angela Howard Brasington and Sammy Hundley of Spring, Texas; her great-grandson Carson Lee Meton of Houston, Texas; her great-granddaughter Chelsea Lauren Meton of Spring, Texas; her great-grandson Dalton Lea Brasington of Norman, Oklahoma; her great – grandsons Connor David Brasington of Sugar Land, Texas and her great-great-grandson Danniel Lee Meton of California; and her sisters, Betty M. Rollins of Clinton and Frances M. Norwood of Tampa, Florida.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Doris M. Ragsdale and her great, great-grandson, Brandon Lee Meton.
She was a tower of strength to her family and loved and adored by all. She will be missed.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Rosemont Cemetery.
